My journey as an artist and designer began with early creative influences, watching my mother sew clothes and witnessing her artistic creativity firsthand.

This inspired a lifelong passion for design, leading me to build a multifaceted career that spans colour design, pattern design, and interior styling. I’ve worked with top-tier companies like Taubmans Paints, Coco Republic, and a range of architectural and property development firms.

I founded GG Colour School, an online platform that empowers creatives to master color for their art, home, and design projects. I’m passionate about helping others reimagine their spaces through the power of colour.

 

My personal brand, Grace Garrett, offers unique, nature-inspired patterns that bring personality and warmth to residential and commercial interiors. My work has expanded to include prints on fabric, wallpaper, cushions, bed linen, and bespoke interior accessories, as well as custom rug design.

 

Nature has always been at the heart of my designs, with collections inspired by everything from Australian landscapes and coastal textures to my former garden in the Northern Beaches, where I often drew inspiration from elements like magpies, sandstone patterns, and banana palms. Each collection is a reflection of my love for organic forms, earthy tones, and natural textures like stone, linen, and ceramics, blended with bold geometric shapes.

My journey also includes collaborations with esteemed partners like Materialised and recent partnerships with Three Birds Renovations, Tile Republic, and Fine Print Co with my Art Print Collection, showcasing how my designs fit seamlessly into architectural projects, styling concepts, and art spaces.

Those moments, bathed in colour and texture, planted the seeds for a lifelong love affair with design and the alchemy of colour.
